My Daily Life: Embodying Hope

MY DAILY LIFE

While jogging, I felt this sense of adrenaline, intensity, and high stakes, just like I was in a Rocky movie, as if I could surpass my limits or not. The power, rush and excitement of feeling the pain in my calves while pushing through was a unique yet tremendous power to behold. In today's blog, I want to talk about optimism and excitement; it is a topic that is not just to go in-depth, whether in how it helped me today or the philosophy behind it, but how you can make or embrace your optimism.

I woke up around 9:30-10 AM, preparing for my interview. It was incredible how persistent I was in passing the first stage and going to the second stage. Despite still getting ready, I felt optimistic about doing the things I wanted to do and making a difference in the community, especially yesterday, helping my customers while retaining my confidence and discipline.

I continued towards the end of my interview despite feeling nervous and tense about possibly failing the interview again. I still got rid of that feeling by getting ready to jog around the park. This time, I aimed to achieve a full first round with the possibly second round. I started with an unusual yet easy jog. Despite struggling to keep pace for the past two weeks, I accomplished the first round without stopping. But the real challenge comes in trying to complete two rounds without stopping. The intensity, the burning, and the soreness still linger more, as if a hammer had smashed my calves.

Unfortunately, I stopped halfway through my second round. I accomplished a feat I could never have imagined, which gave me a feeling of joy yet a passionate fire in wanting to keep surpassing my limits. So, how does optimism come into play? It comes into your story when you have a goal you are struggling to achieve, whether failing to do a set, an interview, an assignment or exams you want to ace. Your character and optimism come into play in succeeding in your small or big goals. It is a powerful tool for moving forward, especially as I explained in my last blog about being hopeful no matter the odds.

Today, I discovered that optimism is not just a state of mind, but a powerful tool that can help us push through challenges and achieve our goals. Whether it's facing a difficult interview or conquering a challenging run, maintaining a positive outlook can make all the difference. Embracing optimism has allowed me to surpass my own limits, and I believe it can do the same for anyone who harnesses its power. So, let's approach each day with a sense of hope and excitement, knowing that with optimism, we have the ability to conquer the challenges that lie ahead.
