Finding Your Strike

In the iconic words of Cobra Kai's "Strike First Strike Hard No Mercy Sir", it usually means we strike our opponents down with no mercy or fear. The definition of Strike means inflicting a blow on someone or something, but that is not today's short discussion. How do we strike towards our goals? We want to inflict a mark on our progression towards the best version of ourselves and the people around us, whether training to be a boxer or finding an apprenticeship in which we want to work hard and invest. To keep going, we must create meaning with each Strike that defines our character and inner strength. A friend once told me during sparring to never strike anyone to hurt anyone but to teach and help each other master our skills. We want to improve our fitness and gain new friendships and self-respect. To positively influence those around you, whether it is a family member or friends.
