The greatest drawbacks from this film is the monster fights that grapples with the audience and surpassed the predecessor 2021's "Godzilla Vs Kong". Whether it is Kong clashes with the tyrannical Skar King or the final showdown in Rio when an all-out war to find out who rules both the surface and the hollow earth. It exceptionally delivers with amazing choreography that manages to express not only their fighting style but their character. Especially Skar King who was an astounding villain that continues to keep me on the edge of the seat with his ruthlessness and intelligence. The fight with Kong demonstrates that idea with Skar King's quickness clashes with Kong's immense power that blew my expectations away. It builds an character arc of Kong fighting Skar King coincidentally for the title of "King Of The Hollow Earth". Not only this fight was exceptional but the finale was as well with the stakes being higher than before with Skar King and his controlled Shimo who is a mother of titans against an newly evolved Godzilla, Kong and Mothra.

Despite the name Of Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire, it was Kong who takes centre stage in terms of character development and lore into the Hollow Earth, a hidden world beneath the surface. This exploration adds depth to Kong's character in finding an home for himself while providing a fascinating challenges and backdrop for the epic battles yet to unfold.

The Negatives

While the film delivers on many fronts, there are a few areas that falls short. The fight scenes, especially the epic finale between Skar King and Shimo against Godzilla and Kong, felt a bit too short. Given the build-up or anticipation, it would have been amazing if we see a an all-out struggle and just how dangerous Skar King is. Speaking of Skar King and the frozen ice Kaiju Shimo, their screen times felt short and no exploration on any of them especially Shimo who was introduced in this film. It craves an backstory or even more scenes with the antagonists especially how Shimo was captured by Skar King or Skar King's conflict with Godzilla as Godzilla was the one who sealed Skar King and his army in the Hollow Earth. It would've been fantastic to see an flashback of Godzilla fighting Skar King which further shows Godzilla's reasoning of preparing to go for an all-out war against the tyrannical ruler. Making Godzilla in the centre stage along with Kong in terms of character and lore.
